Interview For Job
If you select an agent simply because they are nearby and it is convenient, you might end up with an inexperienced or disinterested agent. This means that you will have problems buying or selling a property.
It is okay to ask an agent how long he/she has been in the business during an interview. You should not equate being a new agent with not being good. An agent can only be as good as the level of training he/she has received and whether he/she has good people around who are willing to help.
It is also okay to ask for references, even if the agent is relatively new. When you are provided with references, ask whether you can call and if any of the references are relatives.
